We really hope you can join us for an online roundtable discussion at the end of May to share your views and experiences of different areas, including Open Access agreements, with an opportunity to influence the future direction of Taylor & Francis in this growing area. The meeting will be held on Microsoft Teams (no license necessary) and informal in style, with all contributions from attendees very much welcomed.
The research communication landscape is experiencing a fundamental shift, with libraries and funders in Europe looking at new ways to fund access to research. This includes the most recent announcement from UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) who have outlined their proposals for future open access (OA) research policy in the UK.
In recent years, there have been various new approaches to the changing the nature of the traditional journal deal; including discounted open access schemes, Read and Publish deals, and more recently Transformative Agreements.
There is growing interest in these types of funding agreement, but no standardised approach.
The floor is open for publishers and librarians alike to share their thoughts about the future of open access publishing. What are the technological and financial implications of open access agreements for academic libraries? What do you want publishers to consider? Do you have an opinion you would like to share?
