TMS 2020 Annual Meeting & Exhibition

Get to know Taylor & Francis at TMS 2020

At Taylor & Francis, we feel strongly about representing a broad range of topics in the materials science journals we publish and disseminating that research as widely as possible. We are proud to be the publishing partner of eminent organisations such as the The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), The Korean Ceramic Society (KCerS) and the Ceramic Society of Japan, to mention a few. In collaboration with these partners we publish their impactful journal portfolios with expert Editors and Editorial Board members who are dedicated to publishing papers that reflect the latest cutting-edge research in materials science, as well as the latest innovations in the commercial sphere.

One element that truly propels a number of these journals is open access publication. We are committed to open science and publish a range of fully open journals, as well as numerous leading hybrid titles that enable both ‘traditional’ and Open Access publishing for materials science research. These journals cover topics ranging from nanomaterials and nanocomposites, to ceramics, to plastics, to monomers, polymers and composites, to catalytic science, to heat treatment and surface engineering.

We look forward to the imminent launch of a new Open Access journal, The European Journal of Materials, with the European Powder Metallurgy Association later this year.

Our publishing staff work diligently to ensure rigorous peer review and high production quality for these manuscripts to ensure that the seamless process we offer our authors results in the most impactful and vital journals for our readers. We welcome you to explore these journals and discover what Taylor & Francis can do for you, your research, and the global materials science community’

2020 Robert Franklin Mehl Award

Congratulations to Prof. Yuntian T. Zhu, Editor-in-Chief of Materials Research Letters, who has won the prestigious Robert Franklin Mehl Award 2020 from the The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS).

Professor Zhu won the award for his outstanding leadership and pioneering work in deformation physics and mechanical properties of nanostructured and heterostructured metals.

This award recognizes an outstanding scientific leader by inviting the winner to present a lecture at the Society's Annual Meeting on a technical subject of particular interest to members in the materials science and application of metals program areas. Professor Zhu will be speaking on "Heterostructured Materials: A New Paradigm for Designing Metals with Superior Mechanical Properties"..
