Resolution and Radiometric Quality Improvement for Remote Sensing Images by Data Fusion

The resolutions and radiometric qualities of remote sensing images are very crucial for users, which are limited by the conditions of the hardware, the atmosphere, and the land surfaces. It is usually hard to overcome these issues by a single image, whereas the multi-source, multi-temporal, multi-spectral and multi-angle data provide us complementary information. Fusing these information is an effective way to obtain remote sensing images with high resolutions and high qualities. This special issue aims to highlight the challenges, opportunities, and solutions for improving the resolution and radiometric quality of remote sensing images by data fusion.
Authors are invited to submit papers on any topic related to the Aims and Scope of IJIDF that are related to the topic of resolution and radiometric quality improvement for remote Sensing Images. Papers on how to use image and data fusion techniques for super-resolution, radiometric correction, information reconstruction, normalization, novel applications and etc. are welcomed. We also welcome submissions from interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research teams.
Of particular interest are papers that focus on (but are not limited to):
- Multi-temporal and/or multi-angle super-resolution
- Spatio-spectral image fusion
- Temporal-spectral image fusion
- Spatio-temporal-spectral integrated image fusion
- Downscaling of remote sensing quantitative product
- Normalization of multisource remote sensing data
- Fusion-based radiometric correction of remote sensing data
- Information reconstruction by data fusion
- Novel applications of the improved data with high resolution and high quality
Authors are invited to submit their original research manuscripts online to IJIDF, BEFORE 1st August, 2019. The papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process and the first six papers accepted will be published as the SPECIAL ISSUE. All other papers that are subsequently accepted will be published in the regular issues of the Journal.
