Situated at the intersections of contemporary art and health research, this special collection brings together creative practitioners (artists and designers) and health researchers to focus cross-disciplinary dialogue and understanding. The collected papers examine methodological, ethical, and political concerns related to the employment of self-expression and arts-based approaches in health and social practice.
Working with diverse participant groups, the researchers presented here employ a variety of creative and academic forms to address a range of topics, including artistic process, dementia, end-of-life care, public art, reproductive tourism, reconciliation, and social engagement.
