We are seeking outstanding academic researchers with an international reputation for research excellence, a passion for communication, and ideally prior editorial experience. They will have the opportunity to work with the journal’s Editor-in-Chief, Section Editors and Taylor & Francis to help shape the future direction of All Earth, by identifying strategies to enhance its quality and reputation.

 Section Editor:

  • Overseeing the content and quality of the relevant Section of All Earth

  • Encouraging the submission of manuscripts from both established researchers in the field and early career researchers

  • Soliciting, receiving, and processing new contributions to the journal through the peer review process, ensuring that all reviewers and authors uphold the journal’s code of publishing ethics

  • Providing input on all aspects of submissions from initial vetting of manuscripts to article selections for each issue

  • Review and expand the pool of reviewers as necessary, in terms of size, topic specialty, and geographical representation

  • Implementing improvements to the overall editorial structure of the Section and interacting with Associate Editors and board members for receipt of reviews, recommendations, decisions, etc.

  • Attending and contributing to editorial board meetings held annually

  • Making periodic assessments of the editorial board and recommending changes when appropriate

  • Acting as spokesperson for All Earth in public forums, meetings and conference

  • Developing and maintaining beneficial links with the communities and associated organizations

  • To assure that the integrity and reputation of the journal is maintained at all times, Section Editors are expected to adhere to the publishing ethics outlined in COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for editorial oversight and decision-making in their Section. They will have the authority to accept articles following successful peer review, and will ensure that reviewers and authors adhere to the journal's Code of Publishing Ethics. There will be an orientation period to meet the Editor-in-Chief and other Section Editors, and Taylor & Francis will provide the incoming Section Editors with peer review administration support.

Taylor & Francis will provide full peer review administration training and administrative support. Taylor & Francis will organize regular board meetings and will supply regular reports reflecting on the performance of the journal.

Associate Editor:

  • Overseeing the peer-review process of manuscripts submitted to All Earth

  • Supporting All Earth by assisting in raising the profile of the Journal and actively feeding back on the journal’s development initiatives and editorial office communications

  • All Associate Editors are encouraged to submit their papers in All Earth, recommend the Journal to colleagues, solicit submissions and submit proposals for Special Issues

  • Associate Editors may also recommend accepted papers to be featured on the website or put them forward for press-releases

  • Associate Editors must be mindful of the T&F editorial policy including advice on publication ethics. Associate Editors are invited to complete an optional e-learning course by COPE “an introduction to publications ethics”: https://publicationethics.org/resources/e-learning
