Biofouling, The Journal of Bioadhesion and Biofilm Research

Is your research ready to make an impact?

"Excellent communication & guidance"

100% of respondents to our Author Survey, who agreed to share their comments, reported a positive experience of publishing their manuscript in Biofouling, The Journal of Bioadhesion and Biofilm Research.

When asked to rate their overall satisfaction with the experience of publishing their article, respondents gave an average of 9.6 out of 10. Join our community of satisfied authors.

Meet the Editor

We caught up with Editor-in-Chief Prof. Len Evans to ask him about his background and commitment to Biofouling:

A native of West Wales, after leaving Cardigan Grammar School, where he was head boy, Len studied botany and marine biology at Bangor University. It was there that he first became interested in marine antifouling.

His research in this area continued to flourish when he moved to Leeds University, and then to the University of Buckingham as Professor of Life Sciences. Whilst at Leeds he was the founding editor of Biofouling, the first issue of which appeared in 1988, and his interest in progressing the subject continues unabated in semi-retirement through his vigorous stewardship of the journal.

Biofouling, The Journal of Bioadhesion and Biofilm Research, publishes pure and applied work on protein, microbial, fungal, plant and animal fouling and its control, as well as studies of all kinds on biofilms and bioadhesion.
