Advances in Novel Laser Welding and Cladding Processes
Laser processing technology has been playing a more and more critical role of increasing production efficiency and assuring quality improvements in variable industrial sectors. This Special Issue aims to share the state-of-the-art research achievements, ideas, and findings in advanced high-power laser materials processing. Particular attention may be paid to the novel laser welding and cladding technologies including fundamental research, process development, online sensing & control, and relevant industrial applications, especially in Automotive & Transportation Industry.

Research articles, short communications, and review papers on the following (but not limited to) topics are invited to be submitted for this special issue:
- Adjustable ring mode (ARM) laser welding process
- Wobbling laser welding process
- Hybrid laser/arc welding process
- Laser-hot wire welding/cladding process
- Laser direct deposition manufacturing
- Sensing and control of advanced laser processes
- Numerical simulation of heat and mass transfer and mechanical behavior of metals in advanced laser processes
The expected submission of abstract is Aril 30, 2023, the estimated full-paper submission deadline is October 31, 2023, and an approximate publication date will be February 2024.
