Wave-Based Non-Destructive Testing in Civil Engineering

The ongoing transmission of waves within engineering materials facilitates the emergence of wave-based non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. These methods are increasingly prominent in civil engineering due to their capacity to assess material properties, identify hidden defects, and monitor structures without causing harm. There is a rising demand for NDT methodologies across diverse applications including site investigations, post-earthquake assessments, infrastructure maintenance, and quality assurance.

This Special Issue aims to publish top-tier research papers showcasing recent developments and applications of original wave-based NDT studies. Topics encompass numerical and analytical modeling, data analysis techniques, visualization methods, in-situ testing approaches, and laboratory validations, among others.
