Sustainable Lubrication
Lubricants are integral parts of all mechanical systems however, the sustainability of lubricants on field is of high concern for all engineers and scientists. This SI will focus on the recent advances in the area of bio and environment friendly lubricants and their applications. The lubrication dispensing systems also plays a major role in supplying the quantity of lubricants to the industrial applications. A section on the lubricant dispensing system will deal with the advanced research of the lubricating dispensing systems. Optimization of the lubricating performances of mechanical systems such as gears, bearings, micro/nano mechanical systems etc will also be focussed in this SI.
Hence, the special issue will focus on:
- Bio-degradable lubricants
- Environment friendly lubricants
- Nano/Micro additives
- Minimum Quantity Lubrication
- Tribometers
- Lubricating systems
- Usage of soft computing techniques in designing lubricants and predicting their tribological characteristics.
