Single-cell transcriptomics

Transcription has traditionally been studied on the level of cell populations. Recent progress in single-cell techniques has revealed that transcriptional regulation and kinetics often differs substantially from cell to cell within the same tissue. This Special Issue will highlight key contributions of single-cell studies to our understanding of transcription regulation and transcriptional programs in development. We are looking for articles investigating on the single-cell level:

  • Chromosome accessibility and conformation

  • Transcriptional regulation and kinetics

  • Transcription-coupled RNA processing

  • Transcriptional programs in development

  • Tissue-specific transcription

  • Transcription in disease

  • Analysis of transcriptomic data

Submission Instructions

  • Select "Single-cell transcriptomics" when submitting your paper to the Editorial Manager

  • Research papers, Reviews and Commentaries will be considered for publication

  • Papers will be published online as they are accepted
