“TaichungChristiane” – dedicated to the International Workshop on Applied Analysis and Optimization 2026, January 7-8 at the Research Center for Interneural Computing, China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan, dedicated to Professor Christiane Tammer on the occasion of her 70th birthday
Applied analysis including nonlinear analysis and variational analysis as well as optimization are rapidly growing areas of mathematics with numerous applications to optimization, control theory, economics, engineering, and other disciplines. The main objective of the workshop and this special issue is to discuss recent results in nonlinear analysis, optimization, optimal control and their applications, particularly to fixed point theory, optimization and applications to medicine. Among the participants in this workshop are many prominent experts from different countries who present the state-of-the-art in nonlinear analysis, variational analysis, optimization, and their applications.
The editors plan to publish a special issue dedicated to the workshop and its main scientific focal points. The presentation and discussion of optimization software and novel applications are also welcome provided that they are supplemented by a thorough theoretical analysis. Submissions to this special issue will be open solely to participants and contributors of the workshop.
The journal Optimization is abstracted and indexed also in: Mathematical Reviews/MathSciNet; Science Citation Index Expanded; Zentralblatt MATH/Mathematics Abstracts. Submitted papers will be considered as potential full-paper publications in this special issue subject to peer reviews and should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be refereed upholding the journal’s high standards of peer-review integrity and scientific good practice. All submitted papers will be peer reviewed by at least two independent, anonymous expert referees, each delivering at least one report. The main criteria for acceptance are the quality and originality of the contribution.
