In a new world of research, what do we already know? Systematic and scoping reviews in Speech, Language and Hearing

In a new world of research, what do we already know? Systematic and scoping reviews in Speech, Language and Hearing

It is a tough time for everyone. As we manage our way through this COVID-19 Global Pandemic, we are all focused on the health, mobility and financial needs of our communities. For many human science students, access to resources, travel and in-person research participation has been severely compromised.

Speech Language & Hearing Journal wants to highlight the work of postgraduate students conducting high-quality literature reviews in the 2021 Special Issue. Has the pandemic meant you have conducted a systematic review or a scoping review for your studies? Would you like your review featured in next year’s Special Issue?

We are calling for systematic reviews and scoping reviews that have students as first authors. Reviews must follow internationally accepted reporting PRISMA guidelines: PRISMA for systematic reviews (http://www.prisma-statement.org/PRISMAStatement/) and PRISMA-ScR for scoping reviews (http://www.prisma-statement.org/Extensions/ScopingReviews). The appropriate PRISMA checklist must be attached to your submission.

All submissions will be peer reviewed and the top 5 accepted papers between 1st June-1st November 2020 will be featured in the Special Issue. All other accepted papers will be published in general issues.
