Synthetic Membranes – Assembly and Applications
This collection invites submissions exploring the design, construction, and functional deployment of synthetic membranes. Topics may include:
- Biophysical principles of synthetic membrane assembly including interactions with external (bio)molecules
-
Approaches to tailor model membrane properties
- Applications of synthetic membranes in biotechnology and biomedicine
- Bottom-up assembly of synthetic cells using synthetic lipid membranes.
- Innovative methodologies for studying lipid behaviour (including lipid domains) using synthetic model membranes.
The aim is to bring together researchers across disciplines to highlight the latest advances and future directions in synthetic lipid membrane science.
