Sustainable Development
At present, the spread of COVID-19 has caused multiple crises, the development achievements accumulated over the years by emerging economies have been severely eroded. Emerging economies are facing unprecedented shocks and innovation challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated that emerging economies have a shared interests, and need to establish a sustainable development system. Promoting the sustainable development of emerging economies will benefit the people of the countries concerned, and bring about positive effects for other economies.
This special issue is, therefore, aimed at promoting research broadly related to sustainable development in emerging economies. The theme of this Special issue (SI) is “Sustainable Development”. All types (empirical and theory) of papers on this theme are welcomed. In this regard, the special issue encourages submissions of topics that broadly cover the theme of sustainable development from the perspective of post-pandemic for emerging markets.
The special issue especially welcomes (including but not limited to) topics in the following fields:
- Institutional reform, innovation and green development
- Environmental regulation and total factor productivity
- Lockdown, resources flow, and production efficiency
- Demand shock and consumption
- The policies evaluation relevant to carbon neutrality
- Climate change, agriculture production, and food security
- ESG, social responsibility, and green innovation
- International trade and innovation under the pandemic risk
- Tourism transformation and industrial upgrade
- R&D tax, environmental innovation and financial performance
- Renewable energy technology and carbon emissions
- Green finance, technology and energy efficiency
- Monetary policy, ideology and financial stability
- How income distribution response to supply shock
- Industrial network, supply chain and growth
- International cooperation of infrastructure among emerging economies
- Urbanization under the risk of climate change
- Green subsidy and technology innovation progress
