Simulation Workshop 2025 (SW25) Special Issue

Overview of Special Issue:
The special issue is dedicated to the 12th edition of the OR Society’s Simulation Workshop (March 31-2 April, Exeter). Authors presenting at the Simulation Workshop 2025 (SW25) are invited to submit extended versions of their work for the special issue. It is expected that such extensions will require further framing of the objectives of the study and review of the literature (beyond what was presented at the conference), additions to methodology, extensions to the case studies, further experimentation, results and analysis. The papers will advance the state-of-the-art in M&S theory, methodology and applied case studies. Only papers by authors presenting at SW25 will be accepted for submission to the special issue. The papers will undergo a full JOS peer review.

Subjects covered:
OR/MS Simulation, Agent-based Modelling, System Dynamics, Discrete-event Simulation, Monte Carlo, Hybrid Simulation, Simulation with Machine Learning, Real-time Simulation and Digital Twins, and M&S topics that are within the scope of JOS.
