Light-weighted automated fault detection and prevention techniques for networked dynamical systems

The majority of the real-world large-scale systems, such as large-scale sensor systems, distributed satellite systems, and protein interaction networks, can be demonstrated as networked dynamical systems. In these systems, nodes show the individuals and edges indicate the interaction between nodes. Although these systems provide a wide range of applications, they are prone to various kind of failures. To obtain operational safety and high-quality products, efficient fault detection techniques are required. So far, designing an efficient fault detection technique for networked dynamical systems is still an open area of research. In these systems, faults may happen due to node (device/system) failure or link (communication) failure. Additionally, some researchers have designed predictive maintenance techniques to reduce the failure rate of networked dynamical systems. It is also desirable to design light-weighted automated fault detection and prevention techniques for networked dynamical systems.

The main objective of this special issue is to publish the articles related to advanced and novel fault detection techniques for networked dynamical systems. Besides, various maintenance predictions techniques will also be considered. The list of possible topics includes, but is not limited to:

  • Fault detection in networked dynamical systems
  • Fault prevention techniques for networked dynamical systems
  • Complexity analyses of fault detection and prevention techniques
  • Predictive maintenance techniques for networked dynamical systems
  • Hardware requirements for predictive maintenance for networked dynamical systems

  • Advanced computational engineering models for predictive maintenance

Submissions should be made via the “Submit an article” button on the journal homepage.  The Article Publishing Charge (APC) is $1235 USD.  Please quote the special issue title during submission.
