Recent advances in computational and theoretical transport from ICTT-29

The 29th International Conference on Transport Theory, ICTT-29, was held in Aix-en-Provence, France, from June 14–19, 2026.

This special issue will collect full-length, peer-reviewed articles inspired by ICTT-29 and reflecting recent advances in computational and theoretical transport.

Submissions may be based on work presented orally or as posters at ICTT-29, but all manuscripts must be developed into complete journal articles.

Topics of interest include:

  • Transport theory and methods for neutron, photon, charged-particle, kinetic, and radiative-transfer problems.
  • Deterministic and Monte Carlo transport methods.
  • Analytical and semi-analytical solutions of transport problems.
  • Numerical discretization methods, acceleration techniques, and iterative solvers.
  • High-performance computing, GPU-enabled methods, and scalable algorithms for transport applications.
  • Stochastic transport, inverse problems, uncertainty quantification, and data-driven approaches.
  • Applications in reactor physics, shielding, plasma physics, radiation/matter interaction, medical physics, and related areas.

Submission Instructions

Authors should submit full-length manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system and select the special issue title, “Recent advances in computational and theoretical transport from ICTT-29,” during submission.

Both original research articles and review articles will be considered.

All submissions will undergo the standard peer-review process of the Journal of Computational and Theoretical Transport.

Acceptance for presentation at ICTT-29 does not imply acceptance for publication in the special issue.

Accepted papers are expected to be published online after acceptance, with final compilation of the special issue anticipated in 2027, subject to the journal’s production schedule.
