Prevention of Financial Risks
The Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (GUFE) are jointly organizing the “International conference on prevention of financial risks” covering new patterns of financial reform, financial stability, and development-oriented to the 14th five-year plan. The conference will be held on 27 November, 2021, at GUFE, Guangdong, P. R. China. The conference aims to present and discuss frontier research in all financial risks and high-quality development areas. The conference also welcomes papers specifically related to China, given its growing role in the global capital market. All accepted papers will also be considered for publication in the Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (EMFT) special issue.
Papers should focus on Asia and the Pacific in the face of financial risks. Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
• Improve the corporate governance of financial institutions;
• Stock price crash risk and capital market stability;
• Systemic financial risk, liquidity risk, and credit risk;
• Evaluation of recent economic policy actions and outcomes relating to the pandemic
• Asset pricing issues resulting from crisis;
• Firm and household behavior resulting from the firm crisis
• Financial innovation and financial supervision;
• Corporate social responsibility and green investment;
• High-quality development;
• Digital innovation and role of financial technology;

SUBMISSIONS AND IMPORTANT DATES
Nov. 12, 2021: Deadline for Abstract/Paper Submission (Include all author names and organization information).
Nov. 18, 2021: Notification of acceptance.
Nov. 23, 2021: Deadline for conference registration (Send full text to the conference).
Nov. 30, 2021: Deadline for discussant's comments submission.
Authors are invited to submit their research papers (in English) in Word by email to [email protected] and copy your email to Dr. Yezhou Sha at [email protected] and Dr. Kung-Cheng Ho at [email protected]. The paper should be concise, with a maximum of 5,000 words (main text).
Selected papers presented at the conference are eligible to be considered for publication in the EMFT (ABS 2-star Journal, SSCI Journal: JCR Q2) as full-length paper in the Special Issue on Prevention of Financial Risks. Please indicate so in your email if you wish your paper to be considered for publication in the EMFT. Note that the acceptance of a paper is not a guarantee of publication by the EMFT. All selected papers will go through the journal's blind review process following the journals review policy, and those papers meeting quality expectations will be considered by the Subject Editor, Dr. Yezhou Sha (Capital University of Economics and Business). Note that authors who decide to submit their paper to the journal, EMFT, are expected to pay the standard journal submission fee of USD 150.

REGISTRATION FEES (for the paper to be included in the program)
There are NO registration fees for this symposium.
The conference will take place on 27 Nov. 2021 at 9:00 AM (Beijing time, GMT+8) at the Tencent/Voov Meeting conference platform. Conference link will be sent to participants at a later date.
All papers presented at the conference will have a discussant assigned. Each presenter will have 15 minutes to present their paper; a discussant will discuss your paper for 5 minutes.

-The paper should be concise, formatted following the journal's guidance, and with a maximum of 5,000 words (main text)
-Letter-length paper (about 3,000 words in total) is also welcomed
-Please select "Regular Issue/Symposium" type when submission begins
-Choose "Yes" to indicate that the paper is for a symposium, then select the symposium title as "Prevention of Financial Risks"
-We aim to publish the special issue in first-half of 2022.
