Optoelectronics for Smart Underwater Consumer Devices: Sensors, Displays, and Interfaces

Subject Area:

  • Optoelectronics and Photonics
  • Underwater Sensor Technologies
  • Smart Wearable Devices
  • Embedded Systems and IoT
  • Marine and Ocean Engineering
  • Display Technologies (OLED, e-paper, AR/VR)
  • Human–Computer Interaction (HCI)
  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Underwater Communication Systems
  • Environmental Monitoring Technologies

Scope of Articles:

This Special Issue focuses on how light-based technologies (optoelectronics) can be used to build smart devices that work underwater. It includes sensors that can measure things like depth, temperature, and oxygen levels, as well as displays and interfaces that help users see and interact easily in water.

We welcome research on smart wearables, underwater gadgets, AR displays, and new ways for humans to interact with devices underwater. Studies on AI-based systems, real-time data processing, and communication technologies for underwater use are also encouraged.

Overall, the goal is to develop innovative, reliable, and user-friendly technologies for underwater environments.
