Nanotechnology Advancements in Drug Delivery for Cardiovascular Diseases: Innovations, Challenges, and Applications
Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) continue to be a leading global health concern, necessitating innovative approaches for diagnosis and treatment. Nanotechnology has emerged as a transformative tool in addressing the complexities of CVDs. This special issue aims to explore the multifaceted applications of nanotechnology in drug delivery, diagnostics, and therapies for cardiovascular diseases. We invite researchers and experts in the field to contribute their latest findings and insights.
Scope: This special issue will encompass a wide range of topics related to nanotechnology-based drug delivery solutions for cardiovascular diseases, including, but not limited to:
- Targeted Drug Delivery: Manuscripts exploring nanotechnology-based targeted drug delivery systems for CVDs, allowing for precise drug localization and reduced side effects.
- Nanoparticle-Based Therapies: Research articles on innovative nanoparticle formulations designed for the treatment of various cardiovascular conditions, such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, and heart failure.
- Diagnostic Nanosensors: Studies on nanoscale diagnostic tools and biosensors for early detection, monitoring, and risk assessment of cardiovascular diseases.
- Nano-Enabled Imaging: Contributions discussing advanced nanotechnology-driven imaging techniques, including contrast agents and imaging nanoparticles, for improved cardiovascular diagnostics.
- Personalized Medicine: Research on personalized medicine approaches utilizing nanotechnology to tailor treatments for individual patients with cardiovascular diseases.
