Nanofluid Applications in Energy Engineering

As the managing guest editor of Journal of Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, I would like to invite you to submit your high quality manuscripts to be considered for inclusion in an special issue entitled “Nanofluid Applications in Energy Engineering”.

Journal of Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects is a peer-reviewed journal which is published by Taylor and Francis and is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (2018 Impact factor = 0.894, Cite Score 2019: 1.45).

Nanofluid flows inherently involve multiscale and complex physics. Hence, a variety of modelling and experimental techniques have been used to investigate nanofluids from both fundamental and applied viewpoints. Some physical understanding and research tools have already been developed, but further major contributions are expected to be made. This special issue aims to bring together the latest research findings on heat transfer by nanofluids with a strong emphasis on energy related problems. Specifically, experimental and/or modelling studies on the following topics are of immediate interest.

1- Turbulent heat convection in nanofluids

2- Rheological characteristics of nanofluids

3- Phase-change phenomena in nanofluids

4- Hybrid nanofluids

5- Thermo-hydraulics of nanofluids in renewable energy technologies

6- Fouling and clustering of nanoparticles in energy systems

7- Heat transfer by nanofluids through porous media and microchannels

8- Thermo-economics of nanofluids in renewable energy systems

Furthermore, this special issue welcomes contributions on micro, meso and macro scale modelling approaches to heat transfer in nanofluids, as well as those on novel theoretical, numerical and/or experimental techniques pertinent to nanofluids.

Submission will be open from May 15, 2020 and the submission due date will be up to November 14, 2020.
