Fungi of Tibet
We invite submissions of research and review papers on the topic “Fungi of Tibet” for inclusion in a special issue of our journal-Mycology.
This special issue will bring together studies exploring the diversity, ecology, and distribution of fungi in Tibet, a region characterized by unique environmental conditions and a rich diversity of plant and animal species. Papers may cover aspects such as molecular identification of fungi, their role in ecosystem processes, and potential applications in medicine and biotechnology.
The “Fungi of Tibet” special issue seeks to contribute to our understanding of the diverse and important role that fungi play in this fascinating region.
This special issue will cover but not limited to the following topics:
- Systematics and evolution of fungi
- Fungal diversity and their roles in ecosystem
- Potential applications in medicine and biotechnology

Please submit your paper through our online submission system. All papers will be peer-reviewed. The submission deadline is February 29, 2024. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together in the 3rd issue 2024. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.

Mycology is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal. It is the official journal of the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Mycological Society of China and published by Taylor & Francis with 4 issues per year. Publication in Mycology special issue is offered article processing charge (APC) waived codes (30 APCs waived codes a year), with high visibility (indexed in ESCI, CABI, CSA, PubMed, Scopus, DOAJ and Biosis preview).
