Modelling, Control, and Resilience for Sustainable Buildings and Communities
Buildings and communities are undergoing a significant transformation driven by grid interaction, decarbonization, and the evolution of energy systems. Addressing these challenges requires innovative solutions that integrate advanced modeling, simulation, control strategies, and experimental validation to enhance building performance while improving energy efficiency, occupant well-being, resilience, and sustainability. This Special Issue provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to present innovative methodologies, emerging technologies, and real-world applications that advance the design and operation of sustainable and resilient buildings and communities.
We invite original research articles and case studies that investigate innovative approaches to the design, operation, and management of sustainable and resilient buildings and communities. While this Special Issue is organized in conjunction with the eSim 2026 Conference and will include expanded versions of selected conference papers, the call is open to all contributions that align with the theme "Modelling, Control, and Resilience for Sustainable Buildings and Communities."
