In memory of Abdul-Aziz Yakubu

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, our respected and distinguished colleague, Dr. Abdul-aziz Yakubu (Professor of Mathematics, Howard University) passed away during August 2022. In recognition of his stellar contributions to research (particularly in the formulation and rigorous analysis of discrete-time models arising in population ecology and epidemiology) and scholarship, the Editors of the Journal of Biological Dynamics (JBD) have decided to dedicate a special issue of the journal in his memory.

As the guest editors of this special edition, we would like to invite you to contribute a manuscript for consideration in the special issue. The manuscript can cover any aspect related to the mathematical modeling and analysis of phenomena arising in population biology, particularly those related to, or inspired by, Dr. Yakubu’s work. Each submitted article will be rigorously reviewed in accordance with the high-quality standards of the JBD.

Articles should be submitted via the JBD submission portal (see the Instructions for Authors link).

When submitting your paper, please be sure to indicate, in the appropriate box, that your submission is for the Yakubu special issue. Otherwise, it will be treated as just another normal submission to JBD.

The JBD is an open access journal. Hence, the journal charges an article processing fee.
