Local Public Finance and High-quality Development in China

Economic and Political Studies (EPS, http://www.tandfonline.com/REPS), an ESCI and Scopus listed journal hosted by Renmin University of China and published by Taylor & Francis Group, calls for papers for a Special Session/Issue on “Local Public Finance and High-quality Development in China”.

Local governments have long been playing a critical role in affecting the economic development in China, while their behaviors are, to a large extent, shaped by the fiscal institution and reforms of the country. EPS seeks to organize a Special Session/Issue that includes original research on the fiscal aspects of local governments in affecting high-quality development in China. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, fiscal decentralization, intergovernmental fiscal transfers, subnational/local government debts, and tax cuts in China.

Submission guidelines

The deadline for submission is January 30, 2024. Papers should be submitted online at the official website of the journal: www.tandfonline.com/reps. When submitting your paper, please make it clear that this is a candidate for the Special Session/Issue on “Local Public Finance and High-quality Development in China”. The detailed submission guideline and reference style are available at the official website. There is no submission fee. All submissions will be reviewed by our program committee.

It would be highly appreciated if you could kindly forward this Call for Papers to friends, colleagues, and others whom you think may have an interest in this topic. For any enquiries, please contact the Editorial Office at [email protected] or the Special Session/Issue Editor.
