Women Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development: Evidence from Mena Region
The percentage of women entrepreneurs in developed countries such as America and Australia accounted for 30 to 40 percent of their total companies’ .Several annual reports also published studies and statistics on the importance and role of women entrepreneurs in the community (GEM, 2004). 47.7 percent of women entrepreneurs in the United States estimated 19 million companies (OECD, 2006). It also issued a report in the year 2015 when the proportion of women entrepreneurs companies was 10 percent worldwide as a report (GEM 2017) showed a rise of 8 percent in women entrepreneurs. To increase the international interests of the need to develop women entrepreneurs, especially in North Africa and the Middle East due to the importance of the region and its strategic location (CAWTAR, 2007). in our special issue will insight for the barriers and opportunities to building a large network of women entrepreneurs engaged in contributing to sustainable in the Middle East and North Africa.
