Applied Statistics in Decision Making of Management Sciences
Management science (MS) is an interdisciplinary field that studies problem solving and decision making in human organizations. It has significant ties to management, economics, business, engineering, management consulting, and other fields. It improves an organization's ability to make rational and accurate management decisions by arriving at optimal or near optimal solutions to complex decision problems using a variety of scientific research-based principles, strategies, and analytical methods such as mathematical modelling, statistics, and numerical algorithms. Management science employs a variety of scientific methodologies to assist firms in achieving their objectives. The decision-making process may be thought of as a check and balance mechanism that maintains the company expanding both vertically and linearly.
Planning for data collecting, maintaining data, analyzing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from data, and finding issues, solutions, and opportunities utilizing the analysis are all part of applied statistics. In data analysis and empirical research, this major develops critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. It will prepare you for advanced degree programs in statistics and quantitative sciences, in addition to your job ambitions. Applied Statistics aids in the understanding of numerical information to make data sense by summarizing it in such a way that a clear picture emerges. Statistics deals with the probability of an event, and it is impossible to know with certainty what will be the truth at the moment when statements are made.
