Research Notes are coming to the Journal of Engineering Design. The initial set of papers published in Design Studies dealt with several key themes, however, these are only the start of the discussion. There are many areas still crying out for a ‘first’ Research Note, and many more research quality themes to be identified. We are thus looking for authors to develop the next crop of field-defining papers.
If you have an idea in this area or passion for these issues, and want to make a difference in the field, then now is the time to act!
Over the coming months our aim is to publish the next generation of Research Notes, dealing with quality related issues in studies of designing. These issues span research methods, literature review, theory development, design methodology, ethics, and research scholarship more generally (this list is not exhaustive).
This builds on a ‘paper development’ workshop and provides an outlet for all Research Note focused contributions across design research communities.
