Jewish Education in the Age of AI

This special issue is borne out of a belief that at a moment when Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming an ever more pervasive component of settings for Jewish Education and of Jewish teaching and learning, it is vital to explore the intersection of Jewish education, including higher education, and technological innovation.

Possible topics include but are not limited to:

  • AI and curriculum development in Jewish education
  • Implications of AI as a tool for teaching and learning in Jewish education
  • Assessing students learning using AI
  • Ethical consideration of AI in Jewish education
  • Use of AI in research and evaluation in Jewish education
  • Implications of Zoom and generative AI on higher education (specifically, in Jewish educator preparation and Jewish studies)
  • Virtual mifgash opportunities between Israeli and diaspora communities
  • Virtual reality and immersive education
  • Cyber tourism in Jewish History and Tanach
  • Digital mapping tools in Jewish education
  • Educator attitudes towards technology use
  • Wait-til-8 and social media as a Jewish ethical concern
