The interplay between language and emotion
Cognition and Emotion invites submissions for a special issue that will focus on the interplay between language and emotion. The special issue intends to highlight the bidirectional nature of this interaction, from the effects of emotional content on the processing of linguistic information to the role of language in the perception, knowledge, and regulation of emotions. Exemplary topics include: influence of emotion on language comprehension and production; language and emotion knowledge; language and emotion regulation; modulation of emotional language processing by individual differences, multilingualism and culture. We especially look for research articles, although short theoretical articles would be also welcome. Pilar Ferré, Isabel Fraga and José Antonio Hinojosa will serve as editors of the special issue.
Manuscripts are due no later than November 30, 2023 and they will undergo a typical peer review process.
