International Symposium on Iron Nutrition and Interactions in Plants (ISINIP2026)
We are pleased to announce a Special Section of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition (SSPN) based on presentations at 22nd International Symposium on Iron Nutrition and Interactions in Plants (ISINIP2026). Authors are invited to submit manuscripts related to the topics discussed at the conference. The author(s) must include at least one participant in ISINIP2026.
This special section will feature high-quality scientific contributions related to plant iron nutrition, metal homeostasis, and plant–soil interactions. This international symposium brings together leading experts from around the world in the field of plant iron nutrition and related disciplines, including plant physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, breeding science, crop science, soil biology, microbial interactions, marine biology, and other related areas. Participants gather to present and discuss the latest findings from multifaceted perspectives, including the role of iron in plants and other organisms, the function of related elements, and interactions with soil and environment. The 22nd ISINIP conference will be held in Kanazawa, Japan from June 22 to 26, 2026. We are pleased to feature papers related to this international symposium, given its strong relevance to many topics, such as the utilization of marginal soils and plant responses to nutrient deficiency. Regarding the 12th ISINIP held in Tokyo in 2004, SSPN published a special issue (Vol. 50, Issue 7). It included a Preface, 8 Mini Reviews, and 25 Original Papers (including 2 Short Papers). As of September 2025, it has received a total of 20,662 views and 1,121 citations.
