International Friction Welding Conference (IFWC) Special Issue

The International Friction Welding Conference (IFWC) is a newly combined international event designed for researchers, engineers and industry professionals with an interest in friction welding. IFWC will combine the 14th International Symposium on Friction Stir Welding and the 6th International Symposium on Linear Friction Welding to cover a broad range of friction joining and processing techniques. Articles will present new developments in science, technology, applications, industrialisation, performance, quality, design, or any topic relevant to the advancement of friction welding and processing.

 

The topics covered by this special issue include but not limit to:

  • Friction Stir Welding
  • Friction Stir Processing
  • Friction Stir Additive
  • Friction Stir Channeling
  • Linear Friction Welding
  • Rotary Friction Welding
  • Non-destructive testing and inspection of friction welds
  • Numerical Modelling of Friction-based Processes
