Topics can cover theoretical and research literature addressing issues related to human behavior and the social environment, focusing on identification, prevention, and treatment of various substances and behaviors, including the latest man-made drugs, gambling, gaming, cannabis, role of IT, and related issues.
Submission Instructions
There are no word limits for papers in this journal. However, the special issue welcomes:
- Review Articles of specialized topics including cross-national comparisons
- Full-length Research Articles with a max. length of 4,000 words, not more than 30 references and 4 illustrations, tables/figures
- Brief Reports of 2,000 words and 12 references and not more than 2 illustrations
- Research Letters of 1,000 words, 5 references and 1 illustration
Papers selected for publication review should be compiled in the following order: title page; abstract; keywords; main text introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion; acknowledgments; declaration of interest statement; references; appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figures; figure captions (as a list), plus title page, abstract & references in APA format.
Timeline:
September 10, 2026 - Submission date of a brief, unstructured abstract (approximately 200 words) as notice of intent to submit. Please include all authors' information and e-mail contact details. Abstracts and author information should be sent to either or both guest editors: Dr. Richard Isralowitz ([email protected]) and Dr. Lala Straussner ([email protected]).
October 1, 2026 - Notification of invitation to submit.
January 5, 2027 - Submission deadline for first draft of final paper. Full submissions should be made via the Journal's Submission Portal site, linked below.
March 1, 2027 - Feedback on paper provided.
June 1, 2027- Final paper due.
