Bacterial gastroenteritis remains one of the major public health concerns globally. The rising threat of antimicrobial resistance and lack of effective vaccines make both basic and clinical research on enteric infections a top priority. In this Special Issue we accept articles that investigate:

• Virulence mechanisms of enteric bacteria

• Immunity and host-pathogen interactions in the gut

• Microbiota effects

• Preclinical models and clinical issues

• Prophylactic and therapeutic interventions

• Select "Enteric bacterial infections" when submitting your paper to the Submission Portal

• Research papers, Reviews and Commentaries will be considered for publication

• Papers will be published online as they are accepted
