From Classical to Modern Analysis
This volume gathers the Proceedings of the Conference From Classical to Modern Analysis – Second Edition (Salerno, 2026). While primarily inspired by the scientific contributions presented during the meeting, the volume is not restricted to conference participants. It also welcomes contributions from those who, although unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts, share the spirit, thematic focus, and intellectual aims of the event.
The volume is devoted to Analysis in its broadest sense, embracing a wide spectrum of themes that reflect the expertise and research interests of its four editors — notably: Approximation Theory, Harmonic Analysis, Functional Analysis, Special Functions, and Operator Theory. The intention is to highlight both the continuity between classical methods and modern perspectives and the fertile interactions between different analytical disciplines that continue to shape the contemporary mathematical landscape.
Nevertheless, the editors particularly encourage submissions from all areas of Pure and Applied Mathematics, as well as from Mathematical Physics, provided they exhibit a strong analytical or conceptual component. By doing so, the volume seeks to offer not only a faithful record of the conference but also a cohesive and forward-looking contribution to the evolving dialogue between classical and modern analysis.
Submission Instructions
When submitting your article, please select “From Classical to Modern Analysis – Second Edition (Salerno, 2026)” from the list of available special issues.
This special volume will fully comply with the journal’s standard policies regarding word limits, timelines, and formatting requirements. However, substantially longer manuscripts may be considered by explicit approval of the volume editors, provided that their length is justified by the depth or scope of the material.
High-quality survey papers addressing topics of broad and lasting interest to the journal’s readership are equally encouraged. Such submissions, however, will require prior collective approval by all editors of the volume before entering the review process.
The publication of the completed volume is expected by the end of 2027, ensuring adequate time for a rigorous refereeing process and careful editorial supervision.
