Friction-Based Joining Processes

  • This special issue explores the convergence of friction-based joining processes including Friction Stir Welding, Friction Welding, Cladding, Roll Bonding, Joining by equal channel angular pressing, other friction based joining processes.
  • This special issue will highlight research investigating the structure-property relationships achieved through novel combinations of these techniques.
  • This special issue will highlight contributions examine how friction-based joining processes can enhance or modify structures, and how these combined approaches influence final material properties.
  • This special issue will focus on the development and application of sophisticated modeling and simulation tools to understand and predict the complex interactions between friction, deformation, and material behavior in these integrated processes.
  • This issue will showcase emerging research at the forefront of advanced friction based joining processes
