Environmental Technology Reviews research in support of the UN SDGs and the European Commission’s Horizon Missions
Environmental Technology Reviews is actively seeking papers to contribute to the global policy priorities represented by the European Commission’s Horizon Missions and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), for a Special Issue of the journal to be published in 2022.
Environmental Technology Reviews research captures and analyses significant findings in the rapidly developing field of environmental science and engineering research which can help to deliver on the targets of the SDGs, including Climate Action and Sustainable Cities and Communities. There is also shared focus between this journal’s research community and the aims of the Horizon mission on adaptation to climate change including societal transformation, particularly the circular economy. This Special Issue will boost the key role that our research community can play in supporting the SDGs and Horizon Missions.
Topics of papers might include but are not limited to:
- Sustainable management of terrestrial ecosystems
- Water, waste, soil and energy sustainable treatments
- Sustainable and reliable energy production
- Sustainable building and smart communities
- Circular economy and resource management
- Climate change impacts
This special issue will participate in a cross-discipline collection, with contributions from across the Life, Earth and Environmental Sciences, in support of the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 missions. The collection will be published to be timed with Earth Day 2022 (22 April 2022) as part of a joint effort to support real-world research that addresses the SDGs and policy priorities facing our global society.
