Energy Commodity Management
Climate change has brought about ongoing global concerns in recent years given its serious effects on environmental stability and human life. Through achieving carbon neutrality, one can minimize the effects of climate change. Carbon neutrality refers to a net-zero carbon dioxide emissions state. Given energy consumption, including fossil fuel consumption, is the main source of carbon emissions, it is necessary to identify an effective way to control energy consumption and improve energy efficiency. One potential partial solution available is energy commodity management.
This special issue is, therefore, aimed at promoting research broadly related to energy commodity management in China and around the world. The theme of this Special issue (SI) is “Energy Commodity Management”. All types (empirical and theory) of papers on this theme are welcomed. In this regard, the special issue encourages submissions of topics that broadly cover the theme of energy commodity management from the perspective of carbon neutrality for emerging markets. Specific topics including but not limited to the following areas are specifically welcomed: climate change and energy commodity management; carbon neutrality and energy commodity management; regulation and taxation of energy commodity; and public policy issues. Empirical papers will need to be grounded in economic theory and develop hypotheses that are tested in a robust manner.
