Population Ageing and Income Distribution in China

With the continuous deepening of population ageing in China, the living conditions of the elderly require more attention from the government and society. Focussing on the relationship between the living conditions of the elderly and income distribution, this special issue/section attempts to analyze the determining role of income inequality in the living conditions of the elderly, and at the same time explore the impact of ageing on the income distribution among residents. With this purpose, EPS invites submissions to this special issue/section on the following topics:

  • Population ageing and income inequality in China
  • Income composition of the elderly and income inequality (i.e., the importance of pension for the elderly)
  • Income and health of the elderly
  • The elderly’s income and old-age care
  • Other topics related to the relationship between income and the living conditions of the elderly.

Submission Instructions

The deadline for submission is August 31, 2023. Papers should be submitted online at the official website of the journal: www.tandfonline.com/reps. When submitting your paper, please make it clear that this is a candidate for the special issue/section on “Population Ageing and Income Distribution in China.”
