Digital Transformation and Green Sustainable Economic Structural Change

The Journal of Chinese Economic and Business Studies is pleased to announce a special issue aligned with the theme of the 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Economic Association (CEA) Europe/UK: "Digital Transformation and Green Sustainable Economic Structural Change". This special issue invites high-quality research papers that explore the intersection of digital technologies and green sustainable development, focusing on how digital innovation reshapes economic structures while addressing environmental and social challenges.

Background

The global economy is undergoing rapid digital transformation, driven by advancements in digital tools, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart technologies. These innovations offer new pathways for enhancing productivity, improving resource management, and fostering inclusive economic growth. However, they also present challenges such as ensuring equitable access to digital technologies, mitigating cybersecurity risks, and managing the environmental impact of digital infrastructure.

Green sustainable development is a critical component of this transformation. The integration of digital technologies with green policies and practices offers opportunities to drive sustainable economic growth, reduce environmental footprints, and promote social equity. This special issue seeks to advance our understanding of these dynamics and develop actionable insights for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners.
