Development of FinTech

Financial technology (FinTech), including P2P lending, blockchain, machine learning, big data, and cloud computing, has innovated the traditional finance significantly. Despite the rise in interest around FinTech, there is currently no consensus from either industry or academia on implications of FinTech. In fact, many people worry about issues related to FinTech such as data privacy and price discrimination. A better understanding of the development of FinTech is helpful for guiding the future growth of the finance industry.

This Special Issue aims to seek original research demonstrating the significant contributions of the development of FinTech and to foster close interaction and productive discussions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Financial theory and risk analysis for FinTech
- Trust and privacy in FinTech
- Financial technology innovations
- Digital economy
- Big-data finance
- Digital currency
- Inclusive finance
