Alternatives to Incarceration: Strategies for Reducing Violations and Revocations

Special Issue Information:

CPPR is currently soliciting manuscripts for a special issue on the scope and outcomes of various alternatives to incarceration. Manuscripts considered for publication in this special issue can focus on a variety of topics, including but not limited to: 1) community supervision conditions, including drug testing, monetary sanctions, electronic monitoring, or community service; 2) problem solving courts, including drug courts, mental health courts, or veteran courts; 3) community residential facilities, including halfway houses and day reporting centers; and 4) empirical examinations of the effectiveness of community supervision programs to reduce violations and revocations (e.g., dosage probation, earned compliance).
