Secondary data use in pediatric health psychology research: New uses for existing data

Secondary analysis of existing data is a powerful tool to answer many complex pediatric health questions. Secondary analysis has several advantages including decreased time and costs, better representation for diverse children and families, and improved access to less common conditions, yet secondary data analysis is often underutilized. Children’s Health Care is soliciting manuscript submissions for a special issue highlighting diverse examples of secondary data analysis to answer meaningful questions about family-centered, developmental, and psychosocial aspects of children’s health care.

Submission Instructions

All forms of research that utilize secondary data analysis to answer meaningful pediatric health questions will be considered.

Select "Secondary data use in pediatric health psychology research: New uses for existing data” when submitting your paper to ScholarOne.

The guest editor will first review all manuscripts to ensure suitability for the special issue. Articles recommended for further review will be peer-reviewed.

Expected publication is late 2023 or early 2024.
