The Editors of this Journal call for the writers of the inaugural issue to interrogate and explore the theme of Understanding Black British History: Emerging Perspectives of the mid-twenty first century.
Questions to explore, but not to be limited to:
- What shape and new perspective is Black British History (hereafter: BBH) taking in the aftermath of the impact of the calls for "decolonising" curriculums, removal of statues, and "why is my professor [only] white?"
- How is the study and research of BBH transforming to challenging push-back in the "culture wars"?
- Who can or should do BBH and how does this reverberate on the history that gets funded and produced?
- Is there a falsifying of BBH?
- Make a case for what's new in the study and research and dissemination of BBH.
