Assessment and Evaluation in Child Custody and Family Trauma Cases

This call for papers attempts to build on the Child Custody and Family Trauma Literature. Manuscript submissions for the special issue may extend across fields (e.g., clinical psychology, education, social work, public health, criminal justice, etc.) and provide a range of empirical data, assessment, intervention and prevention programs, and innovative techniques that expand the understanding of the assessment and evaluation processes in these types of situations.

• Child Custody Evaluation Process and Procedures
• Custody Outcome Evaluation Studies
• Techniques and Issues Concerning Trauma and Abuse in Family Evaluations
• Parenting Evaluations
• Specific Instrument Utility and Normative Data
• Contrasts among Assessment Measures
• Reliability or Validity of Assessment Measures

Submission Instructions

Manuscripts that address established and innovative assessment tests, techniques and processes, and the utility of specific instruments will be considered for this Special Issue. Special consideration will be given to studies focusing on multicultural issues and studies involving the changing demographics of American Society.

Potential contributors are asked to submit abstracts up to 250 words via email to the Guest Editor, Ron Stolberg ([email protected],) by December 01, 2021. Abstracts will be reviewed and a decision sent back to authors about the appropriateness of the manuscript for the special issue by December 20, 2021.

Full manuscripts should be submitted directly to the journal’s website and are due by March 15, 2022. Submitted manuscripts may vary between 20-30 pages, double spaced, and must follow APA 7th Ed. Format. Review the journal’s submission site and instructions for Authors page for detailed information. Please select “special issue title” when submitting to the journal.

• Abstracts due to Guest Editor: December 01, 2021
• Decisions will be sent to Author by: December 20, 2021
• Full manuscripts due (submitted directly to the journal website): March 15, 2022
