Artificial Intelligence for Enhancing Digital Interactivity in Multimedia Applications

Social media and the entertainment sector are slowly transforming the way people interact, learn, market, sell, and buy products. Most businesses have their digital presence in order to expand their customer base and to adapt to the changing consumer behaviour and marketing scenarios. Advertisements and marketing have shifted towards a more personalized manner and hence it is important that technological solutions must be aimed at improving digital interactivity in various aspects. Most importantly, technological advancements must be aimed at creating better-personalized communication platforms in a safe and secure manner. Hence the need for the protection of privacy and sensitive data is an important challenge in the vast area of the digital social environment. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data analytics can add much more functionalities to these platforms thus improving the interface, effectiveness, personalization, and other features easy and accessible. One of the important aspects of improving digital interactivity is eliminating the bias involved in the content shared through multimedia platforms. AI techniques that can filter contents based on the predictive accuracy of the presented factual information can collaborate with human support in order to eliminate biased data on the internet.

AI has been continuously transforming various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Because these platforms are highly expected to understand user behaviour, preferences in order to show them relevant content and also proves to be an effective mechanism for marketing various products and services. For instance, if a user frequently looks for videos or posts involving a vehicle or a bike, the algorithm understands the interests of the user and recommends posts ads for that product across the interface of that particular user. This is made possible with the help of Deep Learning tools which can seamlessly comprehend the context in any particular image without any attributes or data on that image. Neural networking and deep text techniques comprehend the meaning of the contents in a user’s post. These functionalities have been extended to provide benefits such as search suggestions, job recommendations, connections etc. AI and related technologies have been continuously enriching the digital experience for users over the past years. Further research can be concentrated on protecting the privacy and securing users from data and privacy threats in such platforms through advanced encryption tools and techniques.
