Advancement of Fractional Calculus and Its Application in Applied Sciences

Fractional calculus plays a crucial role in modeling and analyzing complex systems and processes that exhibit memory effects, multiscale behavior, and irregular dynamics. Its applications span across a wide range of fields, including physics, engineering, biology, medicine, environmental sciences, and many other fields of applied sciences.  It is eminent that the theory of fractional calculus offers a powerful mathematical tool for modeling complex phenomena that exhibit memory and crossover behavior. Its applications in electrochemistry, signal processing, image processing, control theory, biomedical engineering, pharmacokinetics, epidemiology, and neuroscience have been recognized. It has become a valuable mathematical tool for understanding and solving problems in various areas of science, engineering, and mathematics.

The objective of this special issue is to create a dedicated platform for exchanging the latest advancements in the theory of fractional calculus and its practical applications in the field of applied sciences. Fractional calculus has been widely researched worldwide for its theoretical and analytical applications in different research areas. This special issue focuses on recent contributions in this interdisciplinary field, encompassing theoretical, analytical, numerical, and computational studies. It also covers the latest developments in mathematical modeling, analytic analysis, and theoretical investigations that can be applied to understand real-world problems. Through this special issue, cutting-edge research in the field of fractional calculus and its potential applications in applied sciences will be presented, providing insights into the current state of the field and its potential impact in advancing our understanding of natural phenomena.
