Action Learning in Asia
You are invited to contribute to a special issue on action learning in Asia. Previous issues of this journal have included individual papers on action learning in South Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, Nepal, India and Pakistan. For this special issue we welcome papers on action learning in these countries and also elsewhere in Asia, in countries that have not yet been represented in the journal.
Context is often important in shaping action learning aims and processes. We are therefore very interested in papers that explore how different cultures influence the uses of action learning and its processes. What, if any, are the distinctive characteristics of action learning design and facilitation in certain cultural environments?
Submission Instructions
Types of paper: we welcome empirical and conceptual papers that explore the theory and practice of action learning, and also accounts of practice where contributors share their personal experiences of action learning.
The final date for submission of papers is 1 October 2026. The Special Issue will be published in March 2027. Papers accepted for the Special Issue will be published on the website ahead of print.
We welcome advance outlines and abstracts of proposed papers from authors, and we invite authors to consult with editors in advance of developing or submitting a full paper. If you wish to submit an outline or abstract in advance, or consult on an idea for a paper, please email one of the editors of the Special Issue.
