Supramolecular Chemistry

The International Supramolecular Chemistry Summer School was launched by Claudia Caltagirone and Giacomo Picci from the University of Cagliari (Italy) in 2022 with the willingness to offer to the community an opportunity to scientific growth and networking.

The 2^nd Edition is organized from 26^th-30^th May 2024 and will see the participation of 80 PhD students and PostDocs coming from all over the world. It will be a multidisciplinary summer school (in the spirit of supramolecular chemistry) and it will cover various subjects:

• Soft, hard and bio-inspired materials
• Sensing
• Biomedical applications of supramolecular chemistry
• Computational chemistry
• Crystal engineering
• Analytical chemistry
• Topology
• Catalysis

The Special Issue intends to celebrate the scientific richness and diversity in Supramolecular Chemistry that will come out from both the contribution of the participants to the Summer School and the community, in general, with a particular focus on the future direction of supramolecular chemistry how it can best serve the future of the chemical sciences (and society in general).

The Special Issue will welcome research articles, mini-reviews, and perspectives.
