Call for Abstracts

Short Abstract Deadline: 1 May 2019

This Special Issue seeks to bring together new research and theoretically informed papers to contribute to an understanding of Special Olympics in Context of Inclusion Debates in Sport and establish a foundation for future scholarship. This Special Issue invites papers that can contribute to new research agenda on Special Olympics, particularly participatory approaches.

Submission guidelines

We invite well contextualized, theoretically and methodologically sounded papers based on empirical qualitative, or mixed-method projects, case studies, participatory and applied research. Short abstracts notifying interest in the special issue should be submitted to the Guest Editors by 1st May. Extended abstracts outlining the proposed paper should be submitted to the Guest Editors by 1st July.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Manuscripts for the special issue should be submitted online by January 15, 2020 at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/fcss.  

In the submission process, authors should note submission for the Special Olympics in Context of Inclusion Debates in Sport Special Issue in a cover letter. Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words (inclusive of references, endnotes, tables, and figures) and follow the Instructions for Authors. All manuscripts will be subject to double-blind peer review under the supervision of the Special Issue Guest Editors and the Editor-in-Chief. Expressions of interest, abstracts for consideration, and questions may be directed to Dr Florian Kiuppis and Dr Daniela Schwarz at florian.kiuppis@kh-freiburg.de.
